Co-Founder, Fostering Hope
Dr. Angela Colarelli Carron is a pediatrician with deep experience in the care of children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Over the course of her medical career, she served as an attending physician at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin’s Child Protection Center, where she specialized in evaluating and supporting vulnerable children and families.
Her work at the intersection of medicine and trauma led her to a deeper understanding of how relationships—and the absence of them—shape a child’s ability to heal. That insight became the foundation for Fostering Hope.
Angela co-founded Fostering Hope and served as its Executive Director for many years, developing and refining a model centered on consistent, caring relationships as a pathway to healing for children and support for foster families.
In addition to her clinical work, Angela has taught, published, and presented on child maltreatment and the impact of trauma on the developing brain. She has also been involved in a number of state and community efforts focused on improving outcomes for children and families.
Angela brings deep clinical insight and a lifelong commitment to children and families to Fostering Hope’s board, helping ensure the organization remains grounded in both science and compassion as it grows.
