Fostering Hope is guided by experienced leaders who bring diverse expertise and share a common belief: that strong relationships are essential to helping children and families heal—and that communities have a vital role to play in that work.
As we expand nationally, this leadership provides strategic guidance, stewardship, and accountability to ensure we grow with both impact and integrity.
Brian Newsome
President & CEO, Fostering Hope
Brian Newsome serves as President & CEO of Fostering Hope, where he leads the organization’s national expansion and works to bring its relational model of support to communities across the country.
Brian began his career as a journalist, where he covered complex community issues, including the child welfare system. Reporting on a high-profile child abuse case—and the broader challenges facing foster families—profoundly shaped his understanding of the system and the gaps within it. That experience ultimately led him to leave his corporate career and join Fostering Hope.
He joined the organization in 2017 and has played a key role in its growth and evolution over nearly a decade.
Prior to Fostering Hope, Brian held senior leadership roles in healthcare communications, including serving as Director of Communications and Public Affairs for SCL Health, where he oversaw communications and public relations for nine hospitals and multiple physician groups across three states. He previously served as Director of Marketing and Communications for UCHealth.
Brian brings a unique combination of storytelling, strategy, and mission-driven leadership to his role, helping translate a deeply relational model into a growing national movement.
He lives in Colorado with his wife and their two children.
