Why Champions Matter
Change Starts with a Connection
Fostering Hope grows through people who believe in the mission—and are willing to help others see what’s possible. Champions use their relationships, credibility, and influence to open doors to funders, business leaders, faith communities, child welfare partners, and others who can help the work take root. You don’t have to run a program or have all the answers. You help bring the right people to the table.
How our model works
We Build Extended Families Around Foster Parents
Each foster family is surrounded by a dedicated team of 6–10 trained volunteers who walk alongside them for as long as they need—often for years. This team-based approach ensures that support is sustainable for the volunteers and life-changing for the family.

Reliable Presence
Showing Up for the Long Haul
We understand that stability is built over time. Our volunteers provide a consistent, reliable presence that foster parents can depend on, ensuring no family has to face the highs and lows of the journey alone.

Practical Support
Lightening the Load of Daily Life
Whether itˇs a retired teacher helping with math homework or a volunteer offering an extra set of hands during a busy week, we provide the tangible, practical help that makes a house feel like a home.

Relational Support
A Lifetime of Belonging
Our model is about building deep, lasting connections that extend for years. By surrounding families with a village of support, we create the safety and belonging children need to become stronger together.
What It Means to Be a Champion
Use what you already have
Being a Champion isn’t about becoming a professional fundraiser or taking on another full-time commitment. It’s about using what you already have—relationships, experience, credibility, influence, or a platform—to help move Fostering Hope forward. We’ll equip you with the story, information, and tools you need. You help us reach people, opportunities, and communities we couldn’t reach on our own.
Connect: Make introductions to people and organizations that should know Fostering Hope.
Convene: Bring people together for conversations, presentations, or gatherings.

Champions of Hope
Frequently asked questions
Do I need fundraising experience to be a Champion?
No. Champions bring different strengths, relationships, and experiences to the work. What matters most is believing in the mission and being willing to help connect Fostering Hope with people and opportunities that can move it forward.
How much time does being a Champion require?
There isn’t a one-size-fits-all commitment. Some Champions may make a few strategic introductions, while others become deeply involved in building awareness and support. We’ll work together to identify a role that makes sense for you.
Do I need to make a financial commitment?
No. While Champions may choose to invest financially, the role is primarily about using your relationships, credibility, and influence to advance the mission and help open doors for Fostering Hope.
What will Fostering Hope ask me to do?
That depends on your interests, experience, and network. You might introduce us to a funder, convene community leaders, connect us with a faith or business network, host a conversation, or help identify a community interested in Fostering Hope.
What support will I receive from Fostering Hope USA?
We won’t ask you to tell the Fostering Hope story alone. We’ll provide messaging, materials, information, and staff support so you can make introductions confidently. You open the door; we’ll help carry the conversation forward.
